ST Portwey - The website for
the Steam Tug Portwey - Portwey is the only twin screw, coal fired
steam tug now active in the United Kingdom. Built by Harland and
Wolff on the Clyde in 1927. She is moored near to the VIC 56, in
the West India Dock, London, and is easily accessible from West
India Quay Station on the Docklands Light Railway. "Visitors are
very welcome - please contact the Secretary by letter or email to
make arrangements".
PS Kingswear Castle -
The website for the Paddle Steamer Kingswear Castle. The Kingswear
Castle is one of the very few coal fired paddle steamers remaining
in service. She is a passenger boat, and makes regular
trips.
The SS Puffin (H.S.L. 256) -
The website for the ex admiralty Harbour Service Launch 256, built in 1919,
and now out of the water undergoing an extensive restoration to return her
to her former glory
Paddle Tug John H. Amos. The last
surviving steam paddle tug in the UK, currently in a poor state. She is owned by
the Medway Maritime Trust, and funding is being sought for total restoration
to steaming condition
PS Medway Queen - The Medway
Queen Preservation Society, which aims to preserve and restore the
Medway Queen, veteran of Dunkirk.
HM Customs Cutter Vigilant - The
Medway Maritime Trust's 1902 Customs Cutter, recently rescued from a Portsmouth
shipbreaker.
ST Kerne - The website for the
Steam Tug Kerne, which is operated by North West Steamship Co. Ltd,
a non profitmaking company, with the aim of preserving the
Kerne.

President - The website of the support group for the only restored
coal fired steam narrowboat on the canals.
